The iconic Riviera watch from Baume & Mercier, famous for its 12-sided bezel, returns in 2021 in two case sizes and automatic and quartz movements.

Launched in 1973, the Baume & Mercier Riviera, whose name refers to the elegant but casual lifestyle of the French Riviera, was one of the watches that, in the 1970s, broke with traditional codes when presented in a case and integrated bracelet in steel and not in precious metals.

This model now returns to the Baume & Mercier collection, with its distinctive twelve-sided bezel with four screws, available in two case sizes – 42 mm and 36 mm – and driven by automatic mechanical or quartz movements. The new watches also feature interchangeable straps integrated in steel or flexible materials.

The highlight of the collection goes to the two 42 mm models equipped with the Baumatic manufacture caliber, successfully integrated also in the Clifton collection, with 5 days of power reserve and a magnetic resistance of 1500 Gauss. The Riviera Baumatic is available with a smoked blue sapphire crystal dial and integrated steel bracelet, or with a black ADLC case and smoked gray sapphire crystal dial with a flexible black bracelet. The transparency of the opaque dials allows you to admire the gears of the Baumatic caliber.

Baume & Mercier also offers three other 42 mm models, with a blue, black or silver dial, powered by the Sellita SW200 automatic caliber, with 38 hours of power reserve. All 42 mm Riviera models are water resistant to 100 meters.

Four 36 mm versions are also available, one driven by the Sellita SW200 automatic movement, with steel bracelet and silver dial; and three driven by “Swiss Made” quartz movements: with steel bracelet and sky blue or silver dial, or with rubber strap and black dial. All 36 mm models are water resistant to 50 meters.
