The iconic IWC Portugieser Chronograph is now available, for the first time, with a steel bracelet.
With the Portugieser chronograph, IWC established, more than 20 years ago, a sportier design expression in the Portugieser family. Thanks to the sober display, with the two totalizers in recess at 12h and 6h, as well as the interior flange, where the scale of a quarter of a second is printed, the Portugieser chronograph has become one of the most popular models of IWC.
Now, the IWC Portugieser Chronograph becomes even more versatile and suitable for a new series of adventures. For the first time, IWC presents a version of this watch with a steel strap, with polished and satin surfaces. Thanks to the butterfly-shaped folding clasp, it ergonomically rests on the wrist and provides wearing comfort.
The new model (Ref. IW371617) comes in a 41 mm steel case, which frames a silver dial, with blue applied hands and indexes. Inside the IWC Portugieser Chronograph beats the automatic manufacture caliber 69355, a chronograph movement with column wheel and 46 hours of power reserve, visible through the sapphire case bottom.
The new steel bracelet is also available as an accessory for all new Portugieser Chronograph models.
