In 2020, Breitling bets on the launch of three new watch collections: Breitling Chronomat; Breitling Navitimer Automatic 35 and Breitling SuperOcean Heritage ’57.
Chronomat B01 42
Chronomat occupies an important place in Breitling’s history. Presented in 1984, it quickly became an icon of its time. Almost 40 years later, the Chronomat redesigns itself and returns to the limelight. The characteristics of the new Breitling Chronomat are reminiscent of the classic namesake of the 1980s and make it immediately recognizable.
This is the case of the «Rouleaux» bracelet, integrated in steel, with a butterfly clasp, or the rotating bezel with movable markers, which not only protect the sapphire glass, but also facilitate the manipulation of the bezel. Also the movable markers, at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, are faithful to the original and are interchangeable, so the user can use them for a function of “counting up” or “counting down”.
The hands of all Chronomat B01 42 are coated with Super-LumiNova®, a luminescent material that provides enhanced legibility in all lighting conditions. All models, except the Chronomat Frecce Tricolori Limited Edition, also feature a red chronograph second hand, which also contributes to easy reading.
With a 42 mm case, water resistant to 200 meters, the new Breitling Chronomat is available in a variety of different metal and dial options. Each chronograph in the new collection is powered by the Breitling 01 manufactured caliber, a mechanical movement with a power reserve of around 70 hours, certified by COSC.
Navitimer Automatic 35
Inspired by some of the most iconic models of the brand from the 50s, Breitling presents the new Navitimer Automatic 35 mm. With a selection of colored dials, a mother-of-pearl dial with diamonds, and crocodile leather bracelets, these new models are designed for the elegant and active cosmopolitan woman.
The striking beaded bezel of the Navitimer Automatic 35 is inspired by the Navitimer Ref. 806. The simple three-hand dial is an allusion to the Ref. 66 model, launched in the 1950s, with its iconic circular slide rule. The red-tipped second hand contributes to the readability of the watch.
The Navitimer Automatic 35 is available in four different versions, each powered by the Breitling Caliber 17, which offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Like all Breitling watches, they are COSC certified chronometers.
SuperOcean Heritage ’57
In 2020, Breitling launches the Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 capsule collection, whose watches were inspired by the design of the original 1957 SuperOcean. Breitling capsule collections are produced for a limited time and, consequently, in a limited volume; however, watches are not numbered.
The Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 capsule collection introduces some interesting changes to one of the world’s diving icons. Each watch in the collection is a modern retro interpretation of a classic nautical watch, which incorporates the relaxed lifestyle associated with surfers and treasure hunters.
This collection is available with two dial options. One is composed of the classic black dial and is presented on a vintage-inspired black leather bracelet, with a buckle or folding clasp, while the other features a blue dial and is equipped with a vintage-inspired brown leather bracelet, with a buckle or folding clasp. Both are also available with an integrated Ocean Classic steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp. A two-tone version is also available, with a bi-directional rotating bezel in red gold, with a black ceramic ring. The latter features a black dial and is available with a vintage-inspired golden brown leather bracelet or an Ocean Classic steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp.
The watches in the Superocean Heritage ’57 capsule collection are powered by the Breitling Caliber 10, which offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. Like all Breitling watches, these are COSC certified chronometers.
