Actor Regé-Jean Page, world-renowned for his role as the Duke of Hastings on the Netflix series Bridgerton, is Longines’ latest Ambassador of Elegance.

Longines, the Swiss watch brand for whom “Elegance is an attitude”, has just announced Regé-Jean Page, one of the most acclaimed and elegant actors of today, as its Ambassador of Elegance. In the words of Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines, “an actor with Regé-Jean’s talent, poise and presence only appears a few times in a generation. It’s fair to say he redefines elegance.” The British actor, for his part, considers that “Longines makes beautiful watches. There is something very special about being able to work with things that bring beauty to the world.”

Regé-Jean Page was nominated for an Emmy for his performance as the Duke of Hastings in the hit Netflix drama Bridgerton and captivated audiences around the world. His portrayal has made him one of the most admired artists in the world, garnering global praise for his role, with individual nominations for the Emmy Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards, among others, and a victory for Best Actor at the NAACP Image Awards. The success was such that TIME included Regé-Jean Page in the 100 Next list, the magazine’s annual list that brings together men and women who are shaping the future in their fields and defining the next generation of leadership.

Regé-Jean Page’s upcoming projects include a starring role in the Paramount Pictures blockbuster Dungeons and Dragons, and he recently completed filming Joe and Anthony Russo’s The Gray Man for Netflix. He will also participate in a reinvented version of The Saint for Paramount Pictures and, of course, take on his role as Longines’ Ambassador of Elegance. About this new role, the actor says that he likes to “keep himself to a standard of elegance, which means conducting myself with a certain awareness. Part of that is generosity and living in a way that is useful to other people. By doing that, we can bring more beauty to the world.”
